What’s Actually in Supermarket Blends (and Why We Said No)

If your seasoning needs a lab to taste good — it’s not seasoning. It’s shite.
If your seasoning needs a lab to taste good — it’s not seasoning. It’s shite.

Take a walk down the spice aisle and read the back of the labels.

You’ll find more E-numbers than actual flavour.

Anti-caking agents. Fillers. Weird oils. Sugar by the shovel.

Half the time it’s not even herbs – it’s “flavouring.” What does that even mean?

They bulk it up so they can sell it cheap.

They water it down so it lasts longer.

They design it for shelf life – not for food lovers.

Craic Larder said fuck that.

We use real herbs, real spices, and nothing that sounds like it was made in a lab. If it’s in your gran’s spice rack, it might be in ours.

If it sounds like a car part – it’s not.

No mystery blends. No bullshit.

Just small batch, full-on flavour, and the honesty your food deserves.

Want to know what’s in Craic blends?

The full list is on every pouch. Because we’re proud of it.
